What are the VA loan limits in San Diego County?


The good news is that San Diego County VA loan limits are quite generous, allowing you to select from many homes on the market today. VA loans limits for properties across the US are also based on something called “entitlement”. The basic entitlement available to each eligible VA borrower is $36,000. Mortgage lenders will generally lend a prospective borrower up to four times the available entitlement amount with no down payment required, provided that the borrower is income and credit qualified for the mortgage loan amount and the property appraises for the asking price.


The maximum San Diego County VA loan limits for 2015 based on full entitlement are as follows: $562,350 for a single family or single-unit home, $719,900 for a two-unit, $870,200 for a three-unit and $1,081,450 for a four-unit property.
